Pentwater Website You Might Enjoy

I stumbled upon this website the other day. It's called Pentwater Talks. For all of you who love Pentwater and Lake Michigan living, this may be a way to view this little village through the eyes of others. Feel free to join as well, even if you don't live here.

What Parking Problem?

If you normally visit Pentwater in the summer, this is a something you never see - available parking spaces. It's truly amazing how this little village changes in a couple short months. We've noticed shopkeepers starting to get things around for the upcoming season. Rememeber that you can check out the Chamber's website to see what's planned for this coming year.

Brrrrrrr... But Getting Better!

Many Hexagon House guests never see Lake Michigan in winter. This view is right off Pentwater Beach at Charles Mears State Park. It's still vast and beautiful but it's bone chilling cold as well. The good news is the ice is diminishing a little. It won't be long and families will be enjoying our sugar sand beaches again.

Bad Girls of the North

The girls were back for their 4th annual Hexagon House getaway. It's always a good time when the girls from Manistee show up.

Happy Anniversary

Happy anniversary to Kristine and Brandon! They were married at the Hexagon House last year and it's been a very eventful 12 months. Job promotions, moving to Jackson, an adoption, a college graduation and a new baby meant that they were due for a rest. What a sweet couple they are.

Travel Websites

It comes as no surprise that people visiting the Hexagon House really enjoy traveling in general. With that in mind, I will periodically post websites that might be of interest to those with wanderlust. These are sites that have been recommended to me or that I have stumbled upon. If you've been to Paris or have always been fascinated with that great city, here's a blog you might like. It's called Paris Daily Photo and it's hosted by a Parisian named Eric. I think you'll enjoy it.

A Toast to Friendship!

We enjoyed another Hexagon House "Dinner with Friends" evening last night. Five couples - longtime friends - rented the house and enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by Chef Barry Gair of Grand Rapids, MI. If this sounds appealing for your group, call us and we'll discuss the details. I plan to send out an email newsletter in April detailing these dinners as well.

Winter is Back

After several days of spring-like weather, old man winter is visiting the area again. The ground is white with fresh snow and the wind is howling outside. This is Michigan! What a great time to curl up by the fire with a good book and a warm drink. For the more active, our cross country trails at Pentwater Pathway have been nicely groomed and guests have remarked what a great time they have had skiing through the woods. I'll try to get back there soon and get a photo for you.
